Very soon, your child’s list of books to read will depend on you and their teacher.
While your child is still a preschooler, we recommend looking at the book list for the "ages 5 to 7" category, where we have included works by Russian and foreign authors.
How to Read?
It’s time to finish reading aloud, except for five to ten minutes before bed, to help them sleep better. Your child will soon need to start reading on their own.
Teach your child to compose poems or, for example, write stories that continue their favorite books.
If your child is starting to read independently, watch for correct pronunciation and gently correct any mistakes.
What to Read?
Stories, fairy tales, novellas
Unadapted children’s works with full plots and complex sentences.
Popular Literature
What "everyone is reading." At this age, it is essential for children to feel "in" with their peers, so you might have to endure it a bit.
What to Buy?
Books about your child’s interests. If your child loves cats, choose a zoological encyclopedia (or a cat detective story); if they are interested in hockey, pick a sports book, and so on.
