Is it beneficial to play with musical toys with your child?

Speech Therapist Tips 3-5
If we consider high-quality toys that are not too bright and have proper sound (close to natural sounds) and volume, musical games, toys, and instruments are very beneficial for a child. They help develop:
  • Sense of rhythm
  • Musical ear
  • Logical thinking
  • Coordination of movements
It is better to choose musical instruments with good sound quality (maracas, tambourines, claves, xylophones, etc.).
Note:

  • If the toy mimics animal sounds, these sounds should be realistic.
  • If it's a toy with songs, dance with your child to the music and clap to the rhythm.

Remember, no musical recordings can replace authentic sounds in the surrounding world.
