If we are talking about superficial "scratches," it is best to rinse the wound with running water after the injury, treat it with 0.05% chlorhexidine or uracil in solution, and perform the procedure 2-3 times daily. Also, treat the skin around the wound with an antiseptic solution (treatment diameter about 1.5-2 cm) and apply a sterile bandage. Of course, this does not apply to minor superficial scrapes; they can be treated with an antiseptic without a bandage. Brilliant green (our "favorite" green stuff), iodine, and fucorcin are not the best alternatives; studies have shown that their aggressive impact slows healing.
Burns are also worth mentioning: the first thing to do is to place the burn area under cold running water and seek medical attention soon after. Under no circumstances should you treat the injury with oily solutions/ointments, etc., as they create a film that retains heat, increasing the depth of tissue damage.
